Neighborhoods in Aalborg

Aalborg is, by international standards, a safe city, with the lowest recorded crime of Denmark's five biggest. Everyday crime is dominated by theft rather than violence, much of it tied to the Jomfru Ane Gade nightlife and the centre. The figures below are for the whole city; they are not broken down by neighborhood, because a single citywide number repeated on every area page would mislead.

The useful distinction is between types. Pickpocketing and theft are the common, low-level problems, concentrated around Jomfru Ane Gade, the station and the weekend nightlife. Serious violent crime is rare across the residential districts where these neighborhoods sit.
